Coachella. The most exciting fashion and music event I never want to go to. As much as I adore all the artists who perform and the AMAZING style, I really hate crowds and port-a-potties, and the tickets are just so expensive! So for now, I'll sit in the comfort of air conditioning and listen to the live streams while stalking the best street style.
Here are 10 can't-miss Coachella trends that you'll want to incorporate in your wardrobe this summer:
10. Athleisure is alive and well!
Personally, I always love a good excuse to wear my cutest workout clothes in public. Who doesn't want to be comfortable, and especially in the heat of the summer that moisture-wicking fabric is a life saver. Check out our 2017 collection athleisure look here!
9. Fab Florals
Coachella always has a 70's woodstock vibe, but I'm really here for all the awesome florals. Even Rachel Zoe, queen of the stylists, got in on the action with her dreamy, floaty, princessy maxi dress.
All things embellished and patched are super in for summer. It's an easy and cool way to give your wardrobe an updated 90's vibe, and with the political climate right now it's also a great way to sneak in a statement about your fave cause.
7. Millennial Pink
I hope this trend never dies. Millennial pink seems to look good on every skin tone and it works with every style! Go minimal with a flirty dress, or pair a pink top with a patterned piece if you want to wear it in a more subtle way.
There's a reason this style seems to come back every summer: it's simple, classic, and cool in every sense of the word. I love the take that both Taryn Manning and Sophie Turner took- pops of color keep it fresh! Clearly Sycamore & Amaranth is all about the simplicity of wearing white for summer- see our take on it here.
Sometimes wearing pants is asking too much. Tee dresses like Alessandra Ambrosio's are a favorite of mine for summer. Need some sort of bottoms but want to free your legs? Try a long, sheer top with your shorts for that lampshading look with less chance of a wardrobe malfunction.
4. Crop Tops
Crop tops are still going strong, but so are high-waisted items. I especially like this bottom set, even I feel like I could pull off a floaty maxi with a crop top if it was high waisted. I know when the weather hits 90 regularly in San Antonio I'm going to be trying this look!
3. Matching Sets
Matching sets are just soooooo cute and easy. It's a great way to look put together without having to work for it- a few great accessories and you're good to go! If you want to break the look up, you can totally add a denim jacket (with flair of course!)
2. Slip Dresses
The best part of this trend is that it's all about not taking yourself too seriously. Cute dress + sneakers + great jewelry and you're good to go. I also love the layering in the first picture. Who knew a mesh turtleneck top could be so chic?!
It seems like literally everyone wore a bandana at some point in their Coachella weekend. Selena Gomez is rocking so many trends here- matching set, slip dress, bandana. And in the top image- wearing a statement necklace on top of the bandana? Stroke of genius. Need a great piece to pop on top of your bandana? Shop the Bird of Paradise necklace.
Well, that's the roundup! What styles are dying to try? Which ones are you totally over?
